The Remtronix 920S is the go to best antenna for the Uniden SDS100 & what we recommend.

The Remtronix 920S usurps the uber popular 820S as the be 'king of antennas'. It combines 2 antennas in 1 & replaces the 820S which picks up 700~900 MHz UHF Digital signals AND the 842S which picks up VHF/UHF/800 MHz Tri- Band.

As the 920S picks up 400 MHz & 700~900 MHz UHF Digital there is only need for 1 antenna... to rule them all?!

The 920S is made specifically for the Uniden SDS100 replaces the 'meh' antenna that comes stock.

***

Can be used on any police scanner, but excels with 700-900MHz UHF bands. If you have a handheld digital scanner and want to increase reception—look no further—this is the one you need.

While scanner reception varies wildly based on location, topography, frequencies, etc. (anything from a roof, a hill, or a strong breeze can interfere). This antenna should increase reception by 25-100%.

6+dB gain over most stock antennas.

Choose SMA, BNC, or elbow connector type above.

Still testing... but seems like a great upgrade.

I purchased this antenna as an upgrade over the stock. I am in the Upstate NY area. Currently using on my SDS100. I have the 842B and recently purchased the 820s to compare because every review states it's the one to get. I have not tested this trying to pickup new bands/frequencies yet. 700-900 mhz, seems to pick up just as good as the 820s, audio seems a little clearer.400 mhz seems very good as well. All though, it is not billed as a triband antennae, it picks up almost as well as the 842B in my area for the analog bands. I do like the aesthetic look of it and the water proof O-ring. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and will be ordering again in the future.

920s antenna

I purchased a 7 section 30" antenna radio scanner VHF UHF model 6120-6 from Amazon. It does a great job compared to the one that comes with the sds100. I wanted a antenna that was shorter like the 920S and try it. So far the 920S does about the same, its shorter and safer to use. The biggest difference is the cost. The 920S was a total of $58.00 and the Amazon antenna was 9.00. I know I like the shortness of the 920S yet I'm not sure it's all that great. I might keep it, undecided. PS I'm rural and have trees all around my house.

Better reception

The reception is improved from the 820S which is very good. The 920S appears to be the new king of antennas.

A little more time

I purchased the 920S and switched out the 820S (SDS 100) while at the family cabin. The cabin is on the water with views going 20+ miles on the bay near Seattle(Camano Island) with nothing to interfere with the radio traffic. I did notice some better performance on the 400 band(but since it is mostly family radio have the kids talking so hit avoid to keep scanning) and picking up traffic from near the border with Canada but overall need more time with it. I have the scanner on now in house and nothing different being picked up that the 820S didn't cover.

Awesome selective antenna.

I am a volunteer firefighter. My department and surrounding departments use UHF. And my local police use P25 trunking. I have used other antennas with good results. But the 920S is awesome for my application.
